C.C. Butterworth biographies Bowler Help

Craig Butterworth is one of the starting players of the Mitcham Magic. After starting his career s a 28 years old he went on to play 14 first class matches and 27 one day matches. In those 14 first class matches Butter's collected 63 wickets at an average 26.87 which is very solid indeed. One notable First Class match was when he took his career best bowling match figures which was 95/8 against RAGIV BOSS. In One Day matches Butterworth was known for being extremely economical and this trait helped us win many matches. He played 27 One Day matches during which he took 23 wickets at an average of 33.30 and his economy was 4.59. He got 2 Man of the Match awards one of which was on the back of a terrific 11/4 against the Hadlee Cricket Club. in One Day Matches he also picked up the Fielding MVP in the IPL Smash. Butter's of course wasn't much of a batter but he did manage to do a couple of nice cameos. He scored a career high 47* against Wonga Park. His fielding also left quite a bit to be desired and only managed 3 catches in First Class and 7 catches in One Day matches. The Mitcham Magic coaching staff decided that with young up and coming bowlers fast bowlers such Ed Loorham coming through the ranks Butter's services would no longer be of use so they gave him the choice of getting transferred or hanging up the boots. Butter's chose to hang up the boots because he felt like being a one club player was important to him. Whenever Craig got the chance to put on the Black and White cap he always wore it with pride and did his best for the team to win. He was completely team orientated and was especially excellent in mentoring younger fast bowlers like Luke Zwemke and Aaron Wilds who have gained so much from his knowledge. He can be very proud of his career and is the pinnacle of how to be a team player.
