W.C. Cat retired on 16 April 2018 (during season 35) aged 34.
A long serving member of the Ducklings who has been part of the club since it's inception, Cat was a reliable middle order presence for many years. In FC cricket he played sporadically in the first couple of seasons before having to specialize in OD cricket until he could force a way back into the side. He did so in season 30, displacing the younger Magnay, where he played two decent seasons as a counterattacking and stabilizing barrier between the batsmen and the tail. He made over 2000 runs and scored three centuries. His major successes came in OD cricket, where he scored over 5000 runs (as of writing 5th all time) and 14 tons (4th most). He played his final match for the Ducks in season 33.
