P.F. Vaughan-Davies retired on 26 September 2019 (during season 40) aged 34.
P.F. Vaughan-Davies, more simply called Vaughan, was transferred from Mashonaland Eagles for $155,000 when he was 25 years old and has already played more than 100 games with the Glen Iris Greats in just under 3 years. He is an oustanding bowler and reliable with the bat, although never quite understood how to field. He has an impressive batting average of over 55 in his more than 60 friendlies, as well as almost 50 in OD matches and around 30 in FC matches. Although this is above average, it is with the ball that this rare medium-pacer truly shines. In OD matches, his average is 40 including 2 4-wicket hauls and one 7-wicket hauls, but it continues to improve, with this season's average being down at 32. In friendlies, he has 72 wickets at an outstanding average of 19 including 2 4-wicket hauls and 4 5-or-more-wicket hauls. This great bowling is also reflected in the FC matches, where his bowling average is a magnificent 23 including 6 4-wicket hauls, 12 5-or-more-wicket hauls and also 5 10-or-more-wicket matches! In addition to this, Vaughan scooped up 3 league awards and 10 man of the match awards along the way.
